Howard Associates Limited is a network based organisation of experienced OD and HR consultants. It has operated since 1994. Activities are led by Phil Morison, Consulting Director, with the support of the most appropriate consultants from our team.

Phil Morison
Background
Significant experience with two leading consultancies. Training and organisational development with a number of well-known businesses, including Tesco, Prudential and PPP Healthcare, covering 15 years Worked in talent development, management training and development and in senior leadership development roles
Consultancy experience
- As a consultant, Phil has developed a high level of expertise in competency-based people management, and is highly experienced in the use of 360° feedback tools, for example in performance management, assessment and coaching.
- Designing and implementing a leadership development programme for senior managers of an established UK clothing manufacturer
- Developing a competency framework for a major international consumer business, for use in senior management development
- Running a development programme for high potential graduates for a leading international banking group
- Designing and operating an organisation-wide 360°survey for one of Ireland 's major banks
- Designed and delivered a number of bespoke training programmes for clients in diverse industry sectors.
Simon Spindler
Background
Significant experience in two leading international consultancies, totalling 14 years. Prior experience in business included sales and marketing in business-to-business services
Consultancy experience
Simon has a breadth of experience in people management consulting, from management process improvement to direct involvement in individual development, selection and coaching. His work has included:
- Competency-based assessment (interviewing and assessment centres) for senior executives in two major international consumer businesses, in a range of industrial sectors clients and for the European Commission
- Individual coaching for senior people, including the MD of a growing IT business, a high potential HR manager in the public sector, and a "head of HR" looking for appointment to the Board
- Top team coaching and leadership development
- Design and implementation projects for processes covering recruitment and selection, performance management, promotion and career progression
- Advice on performance-orientated approaches to reward and reward strategy
- Development of competency frameworks through appropriate use of behavioural interviews, expert panels and other techniques - and work on competency training and applications
Dorothy Nesbitt Background
Significant experience with two leading consultancies. Previous experience in professional trade body, dealing with diverse businesses. Currently particularly active in the learning and education sectors

- Dorothy has a strong blend of consultancy and training experience, demonstrating a learning-orientated approach in a range of client projects.
- Expert contribution to the assessment of senior executives for internal and external appointment by a leading international drinks company
- Taking a leading role in the launch and roll-out of a UK-wide leadership development programme for head-teachers
- Developing a toolkit for HR managers for the launch of a new competency framework in a major international business
- Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team supporting a leading professional body's move towards effective performance management
- Coach and consultant to the senior management team in the UK of a small, privately owned manufacturing company as they prepared for the retirement of the Managing Director and General Manager
